Ace striker Carlos Tevez is dating one of the stars of Ugly Betty's Argentinean version.

Actress Brenda Asnicar, 18, has wowed Argentina with her role in Patito Feo, which means Ugly Duckling.

Tevez, 26, took her on holiday after Argentina lost in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in South Africa.

The 150,000 pound-a-week Manchester City striker is said to have hired a private jet to take them for skiing, The Sun reports.

The couple spent a romantic week at the swish Andes resort of Bariloche.

Brenda, who is also famous in Argentina as a singer, hit back at fans who cruelly mock Tevez as a bit of an ugly duckling himself.

The actress insisted that she found him "very good looking."

The couple shared a tearful goodbye as he flew back to Manchester for pre-season training at the Eastlands club.

Tevez recently split from his wife Vanessa Mansillo, who was his childhood sweetheart. (ANI)
